The Program for Students who are 聋人或重听人 (D/HH) at 全球赌博十大网站 provides support services for deaf and hard of hearing students seeking career and academic training. Program staff are fluent in American Sign Langu年龄. 辅导

All students are STRONGLY encour年龄d to attend tutoring. Small study groups and other tutorial assistance programs are provided for all students, 包括残疾学生. 这些服务, 由专业人士和同行领导, are free of charge to all students and are based on the continuation of college funding. 所有的辅导都在校园内进行.

The Program for Students who are 聋人或重听人 office is equipped with a Video Phone available for student use. The VP is available for student business, such as contacting DVR offices. 贷款 of assistive listening devices (ALD’s) are available each semester. These are small pocket talker devices that can help students who are hard of hearing to. Also, C-Print字幕 is available for students in certain classes. The College encour年龄s students who are deaf or hard of hearing to contact the D/HH program to arrange for services as soon as they submit an application to the College. 深思熟虑 specialists fluent in ASL are available to ease the transition into college.

新泽西基本技能测试

This test of basic skills determines the level of mastery in the areas of reading comprehension, 句子的意义, 论文写作, 计算, 以及初等代数. This is a computerized test which allows students to work at their own pace/rate. However, students are given 50 minutes to complete the 论文部分 测试的. Students who require extended time must request a letter from our office prior to the test.

After receiving the Basic Skills Test results, students are encour年龄d to register for classes through the D/HH program office. This can make the registration and curriculum planning process more effective. Students are also welcome to discuss learning strategies and techniques to maximize chances for success at the college level.
